Let’s NetRide today!
I would like to kindly invite You, as a respected member of the Hungarian Cisco Networking Academy community to come and register for the Cisco Networking Academy NetRiders Hungary Competition, which begins on 15 February 2010 at 09:00.
 
Registration
The Competition Registration Period will run from 15 February 2010 at 09:00 (GMT+1) to 26 February 2010 at 17:00 (GMT+1). Contestants must receive an enrolment key from their Networking Academy Instructor (“Instructor”), pre-register and may be required to download certain software in order to compete in the Competition.  See the “How to Participate” instructions.
 
Local Competition
The Competition Exam Period will run from 3 March 2010 at 14:00 GMT+1 to 3 March 2010 at 16:00 GMT+1.
 

Who can participate

The Competition is open to:

(a) currently, validly enrolled Cisco Networking Academy student or former Cisco Networking Academy student who was validly enrolled within the three months prior to the Competition start date;

(b) who is at least 18 years of age by December 31, 2010;

(c) who provides a valid Academy Connection username and valid Academy Connection ID number when registering;

(d) who is currently taking or has taken the Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) 3.1, CCNA Exploration, or CCNA Discovery course in the past three months;

(e) who has network access that supports participation; and

(f) who is a resident of Hungary. 

 How to participate

  • Obtain an enrolment key from your Instructor.  You must have an enrolment key to participate.

  • Go to http://www.academynetspace.com/compete/ (“Competition Site”) and select Europe, Middle East, Africa and then select “Hungary 2010 NetRiders Competition.” 

  • Create a new account by submitting all required information as instructed.

  • You must provide a valid Academy Connection username and ID number to compete.  You should know your Academy Connection username.  If you need to find your ID number, go to www.cisco.com/go/netacad and login to Academy Connection.  Go to your My Profile page and find your Academy Connection ID.

  • You will receive an email at the email account you provided when registering (“Confirmation Email”).  Validate your registration as instructed in the Confirmation Email.

  • Return to the Competition Site and enter your username and password. 

  • Select Europe, Middle East and Africa and then select Hungary 2010 NetRiders.

  • Agree to these Terms and Conditions. 

  • Type in your enrolment key. 

  • You will now be enrolled in the competition.

  • During the registration period, participate in a practice exam (the “Practice Test”). Sign in for the Practice Test using your login and password (described below).

  • The computer on which you are competing must have Packet Tracer 5.2.1 installed.  You can download Packet Tracer 5.2.1 by logging into the Academy Connection website at www.cisco.com/go/netacad.

  • You will need to return to the Competition Site on your assigned date and time (“Assigned Exam Period”) and then take the Exam (described below).
